Sanctuary Health is currently looking for a Community Psychiatric Nurse to work in Guernsey.
The salary for this Community Psychiatric Nurse role is £34,763 - £47,094 per Annum.
Job Summary:
- There are five in-service user areas within the Services for Older People comprising of 94 inservice user beds. A day centre facility for 20 service user and a community mental health team comprising of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Tautenay ward is an 8-bedded assessment unit for individuals who have either an organic or functional mental health problem.
- The Duchess of Kent is a 26-bedded residential facility for service user who are experiencing dementia.
- Corbiere, Roustel and Brehon are 20-bedded units caring for individuals who are further into their journey of dementia and have a higher degree of nursing needs, some with complex physical health difficulties.
- Each of the continuing assessment units has a dedicated activity lead to provide a stimulating environment to the service user.
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Valid NMC registration under Mental Health.
- Experience working within a similar role would be highly desirable.
- A degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained).
- Previous experience of working in a community setting.
- Full drivers licence with access to a car for business use.
- Excellent communication skills which are adaptable depending upon service users cognitive abilities.
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of older adults experiencing mental health problems.
- Be able to use Microsoft word/excel and with training utilise the TRAK electronic health care record system.
