Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced Community Occupational Therapist to work based in Bexley, within the Integrated Triage Team.
The pay rate for this locum Community Occupational Therapist job is £33-£35 per hour (assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Provide a professional and personalised occupational therapy service to adults and elderly residents with physical disability and dual diagnosis of physical disability and mental health issues.
- Assess each individual case and recommend rehabilitative solutions that promote independence and improve the individuals’ quality of life, wherever possible.
- Take responsibility for shaping the occupational therapy service by continuously evaluating it on a professional and administrative level and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with Nurses, Social Workers, Rehabilitation Assistants, Physiotherapists, Doctors, and volunteers from both Health and Social Care backgrounds.
- Play a key role in the assessment and treatment of people, caseload management, supervision and training of junior staff as appropriate, complete Access / Home visits, support other Team members as appropriate and attend family and MDT meetings.
Requirements of the Community Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.
- Recent post-qualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
- Due to the fact that you’ll be carrying out visits in patients’ homes and other settings within the community, it is essential that you are able to travel around the Borough.
