Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a locum vacancy for a Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist to work based in Orpington, within the Rapid Access Therapy Team, also including Home Based Rehab Team and additional urgent services.
The pay rate for this locum Community Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist job is £26.00 - £28.00 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00 am – 18:00 pm but can be flexible to candidate availability
- Potential for weekend and part-time working
Duties:
- Carrying out Urgent Therapy visits from the Acute hospitals, Rapid Response, GP's and other services within the Urgent Care Services
- Joint working with OT/Physio and Rehab Assistants
Requirements of the Community Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post-qualification
- Be able to work independently in a community setting
- Have access to their own car and be able to use this for work purposes
- Be physically fit as this is an active role that requires assisting the patient to transfer and mobilise
- Able to carry out basic obs when assessing deteriorating patients
- Be able to apply a compassionate and empathetic approach to our patients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Competent in Moving and Handling
- Experience in using EMIS
- Experience of working in the community
- Experience in managing a caseload
- Experience of rehab
- Experience in working with falls patients
- Up to date with mandatory training including resus
- Have a Covid risk assessment completed prior to commencing this post
