Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist to work in Gloucester on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £25 - £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To work with adults with physical disabilities, cognitive impairment, mental health issues and complex social and community needs, experiencing occupational performance difficulties within and around their home environment
- To work as an integral member of the ICT to provide a service through assessing, collaborative goal setting, delivering and evaluating treatment
- To use a recognised model of practice to underpin all practice
- Assess and treat own caseload of patients/clients, adopting a health coaching approach for all intervention
- The post holder will provide supervision and support to registered OTs, OT assistants and reablement colleagues as appropriate
- Provide occupational therapy advice to other disciplines
- May participate in departmental research
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post-qualification
