Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a locum role for a Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist to work full-time based in Reading.

The pay rate for this locum Community Occupational Therapist job is £25 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.

Duties:

  • Reablement
  • Provide the Occupational Therapy input to the Intermediate Care Services which includes Community Reablement, rapid response and falls
  • Carry out functional assessments in client’s home environment, rehabilitation setting sand implement treatment programmes
  • Liaise closely and effectively with other team members and other professionals, acute and community hospitals and local statutory and voluntary services
  • Liaise with and advise clients carers about problems encountered at home
  • Train and supervise Care Assistants to the level of competence need, and participate in formal and informal training of other staff when required

Requirements of the Community Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
  • Car driver
  • Experience working within the community
