Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Community Occupational Therapist to work in Elmbridge, Epsom, Ewell and Banstead & Mole Valley on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £30.00 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Job Summary:
- Role of the Reablement OT is to work alongside and sit within the Reablement service in order to promote independence and skills gain programmes and reduce the need for long term services.
- The Reablement OT will work directly with clients and also with Reablement Assistants to provide guidance, support and teaching with basic equipment provision, functional activity practice and complete OT interventions surrounding moving and handling, risk assessment, transfers practice, cognitive assessments and creative problem solving.
- The Reablement OT will embed a strength based approach to assessment and intervention, ensuring the client is at the centre.
- This role location is mid surrey based which will include working from Elmbridge, Epsom, Ewell and Banstead & Mole valley so driving will be essential
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
- Must be a car driver
