Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is looking for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse (CPN) to work based in Oldham, within the Adult’s Community Mental Health Team.

The pay rate for this full-time role is £25.00 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Duties:

  • Work as part of the  multi-disciplinary team in Community Mental Health Team carrying out full risk assessment, mental, physical health and care act assessments and CPA assessments/risk formulation management plans, identifying clients suitable for the service who meet the criteria for severe and enduring mental illness, to provide assessment, short term intervention and longer-term care coordination intervention, as required and  to refer on to relevant services clients who do not meet the criteria for CMHT
  • Act as a secondary care assessment worker/short term intervention, carrying out assessments of clients referred to CMHT as they are suffering from a severe and enduring mental illness requiring secondary care
  • Support and supervise junior staff within the team
  • At times manage and supervise the team
  • Support the assessment of the needs of service users by utilising specialist research-validated assessment tools
  • Participate in clinical and management supervision
  • Contribute to the learning environment for any students or workers on placement with the team
  • Update knowledge and skills in mandatory training, CPD and Revalidation
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all patients, service users, staff, contractors and where appropriate, members of the public
  • Maintain high standards of quality in corporate and clinical record keeping ensuring information is always recorded accurately, appropriately and kept up to date

Requirements of the Community Mental Health Nurse:

  • Valid NMC registration under Mental Health
  • Previous experience working as a CPN
  • A degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained)
  • Be familiar with and comply with all Trust and local authority and departmental policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines
  • Be aware of and work towards the Trusts and local authority strategic goals
