Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse (CPN) to work based in Southwark.
The pay rate for this full-time role is £26-£27 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Shift Pattern:
- 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
- 37.5 hours per week.
- Opportunity for home working due to COVID-19.
Main Duties:
- Work in a community setting and with a multidisciplinary team.
- Work with service users with a severe and enduring mental illness and complex social care needs.
- Assessment and care planning skills.
- Plan, prioritise, use initiative, and work independently.
- Administration of medication.
- Risk assessment, crisis management, and Duty work.
- Liaise with others, and to maintain professional relationships.
Requirements of the Community Mental Health Nurse:
- Valid NMC registration under Mental Health.
- Previous experience working as a CPN.
- A degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained).
- Knowledge of social care issues, e.g. housing, benefits.
- Knowledge of CPA, Mental Health Act, and other relevant legislation.
- Understanding of diversity issues, and working in culturally diverse areas.
