Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a locum vacancy for a Community Assistant Practitioner Occupational Therapist to work based in Southwark, within the Assessment & Intake Team.

The pay rate for this locum Community Assistant Practitioner Occupational Therapist job is £20 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract but will be extended pending the permanent recruitment process.

Duties:

  • Completing Care Act Assessments for older persons and those with a disability whom presently do not have formal care and support in situ, completing unscheduled reviews of existing care packages,  putting in place care and support plans and working collaboratively within the service and with external partner agencies to make sure that the people of Southwark are receiving the support that meets their needs
  • Recognise and identify signs of cognitive impairment and adults safeguarding issues and to notify  the relevant line manager in this instances

Requirements of the Community Assistant Practitioner Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
  • Had both the 1st and 2nd dose of a certified COVID-19 vaccine prior to assuming this role
