Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced Band 7 Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work full-time within CAMHS based in Tooting, South West London.
The pay rate for this locum Psychologist job is £30 - £32 per hour (Assignment Rates) and is a 3-month contract.
Job Summary:
- Join a multi-disciplinary team at Wandsworth Access and work across a number of local primary and secondary schools.
- Join the Family Consultancy team in Access to provide CBT and brief family interventions.
- Be involved in other tasks within Access as required, such as conducting mental health assessments, triaging new referrals, take part in duty rota, signpost and refer to appropriate services, attend Team Around the Chlid meetings and liaise with multi-agency network as needed.
- Provide evidence based interventions in local schools as needed including individual and groups.
- Provide consultations and training to school staff as needed.
- Have an agreed job plan with specified activity and throughput levels.
- Manage risk within team, Directorate and Trust structures.
- Work to relevant professional and ethical guidelines, and within the framework of Directorate and Trust policies and procedures.
Requirements of the Psychologist:
- An Honours Degree in Psychology recognised for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- A Doctoral Degree or equivalent recognised by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and BPS as qualification for the independent practice of Clinical Psychology in the National Health Service.
- Previous experience within a similar role.
- 2 years' experience.
