Sanctuary Health is currently looking for a dedicated Band 8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work full-time in Enfield.
The pay rate for this locum Psychologist job is £37 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To provide a pain management clinical psychology service to clients of the MSK team and other teams when necessary or appropriate
- Providing highly specialist psychological assessment, intervention and treatment
- Supervising trainee clinical psychologists, and offering advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers
- Working autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures
- Utilising research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service
Requirements of the Psychologist:
- To be eligible for this role you must be an HCPC registered psychologist
- Have a relevant qualification
- Recent experience is essential
- Doctoral level training or equivalent in Clinical or Counselling Psychology including specifically models of psychopathology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS
- Experience of working with Patients with persistent pain and / or physical health conditions
- Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision
- Experience of the application of psychology in different cultural contexts and using interpreters
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse
