Sanctuary Health has a permanent job vacancy for a Clinical Services Manager (Theatre) to work full-time within a Child and Adolescent Inpatient Service with a leading healthcare provider in Aberdeen.

The salary for this permanent Clinical Services Manager role is £46,436 per annum.

Core Responsbilities and Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community.
  • Lead the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
  • Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge / skill, and expertise.
  • Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patient.
  • Act as an advocate for safeguarding patients; demonstrate courage to speak up when there are concerns about care.
  • Provide a high standard of individualised essential patient care to ensure an efficient and courteous service is provided for the patients.
  • To maintain written records and legal documents to required levels and accepted practice.
  • To participate in a programme of quality assurance as directed by Director of Clinical Services.
  • To ensure Health and Safety Policies and Practices are understood and followed by the theatre team.
  • To ensure staff are conversant with Fire and Health and Safety Policies.
  • To work professionally within the framework provided by the NMC Scope of Professional Practice.
  • Deploy staff and resources in accordance with policies.
  • Provide informal staff progress reports.

Requirements of the Clinical Services Manager:

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically and managerially.
  • Experienced in acute nursing care
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice.
  • Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability
  • Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies, such as the Care Quality Commission.
  • Significant experience working in an acute hospital setting as a Senior Registered Practitioner or equivalent.
    Previous experience within a Theatre or Deputy Theatre Managerial role.
