Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is looking for a dedicated Band 8b Clinical Psychologist to work full-time based in Merthyr Tydfil.
The pay rate for this locum Clinical Psychologist job is £40 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday office hours.
- Travel expenses will be paid.
Main Duties:
- Work in a small community team providing neurorehabilitation for people with a range of neurological conditions.
- Supervise assistant psychologists and support an occupational therapist within the neurorehab service.
- Provide group therapy, neuropsychological assessments and manage a case load of complex patients.
- Some of the clinical work is carried out remotely.
- There is a supportive Health Psychology Department within the Health Board which have regular meetings and there are strong links to colleagues in mental health.
Requirements of the Clinical Psychologist:
- HCPC registered psychologist.
- Relevant qualification.
- At least two years of psychology experience.
- Experience working with patients with neuro conditions such as brain injury, stroke and progressive conditions and have high level skills in neuropsychology.
- Ability to work collaboratively and have excellent communication skills and be sensitive to clients and families’ needs.
