Sanctuary Health is currently looking for a dedicated Band 8a Clinical Psychologist to work full-time based in HMP Bullingdon, Bicester.
The pay rate for this locum Psychologist job is £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Job Summary:
- The systematic provision of psychology services to service users with complex mental health needs in a prison environment. This is to involve providing specialist psychological assessments, leading to psychological formulations of distress; interpretation and opinion; and forming judgements to inform service provision and providing necessary psychological interventions.
- Provide input to the integrated offender mental health and substance misuse team when required, to attend team meetings and contribute to the team's processes and functions and to liaise and work with other areas of Specialism when required including as agreed with the Clinical Lead.
- This role will incorporate complex assessments leading to psychotherapeutic formulations of distress; interpretation, of assessment instruments and forming intervention plans, and the delivery of interventions to this population
- To provide treatment and core psychological interventions in line with the stepped care model. In doing so, you will be responsible for adhering to relevant Inclusion SOP's and Trust policies and professional ethics and standards and will be accountable for professional and clinical actions.
Requirements of the Psychologist:
- To be eligible for this role you must be an HCPC registered psychologist
- To have a relevant qualification and recent experience is essential.
