Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is looking for an experienced and committed Band 7/8a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work full-time based in Camden.
The pay rate for this locum Clinical or Counselling Psychologist job is £33 - £38 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Summary:
The post-holders will work with MDTs, negotiate psychology referral allocation and will undertake direct clinical work including assessment, brief formulation-driven intervention and group work.
You will also be involved in consultation, provide reflective practice and training to teams across the Division and have opportunities for service development.
Requirements of the Clinical or Counselling Psychologist:
Registration with a recognised approved body
Current registration with the Health Care Professions Council as a practitioner psychologist.
Significant experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.
Skills in the use of a range of methods of psychological assessment (including psychometric tests), intervention and management for the full range of problems of severity and complexity presented in adult mental health, including challenging behaviours.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group, such has Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act.
Experience providing consultation and staff reflective practice.
