Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for 2 experienced and dedicated Social Workers to work full-time in Southwark, within the Care Service. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rates for these locum Social Worker jobs are £27.27 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
This role is currently home working with the expectation that children are seen face to face each visit.
Duties:
- Cover the senior social worker
- Cover a social worker's sick leave
- Visit children face to face
- Undertake quality direct work and life story work
- Undertake statutory duties such as LAC visits, LAC reviews, PEPs
- Manage complex cases
- Manage risk, safeguard children and promote positive outcomes
- Coaching and mentoring of students, newly qualified social workers and less experienced practitioners
Requirements of the Social Workers:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Minimum of 4 years experience within the social work field
- Recent experience of working in a Looked After Children team
