Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Manchester, within the Connected Care Support Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £26.88 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Carry out viability and full assessments including Special Guardianship Assessments
- Assess and supervise Emergency TACP Regulation 24 placements
- Present cases at the Fostering Panel alongside preparing your caseload for permanence via the appropriate legal orders
- Support families through the process and present to the Courts when they are ready for Special Guardianship or other suitable orders

Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Confident assessor
- Meet deadlines and timescales
- Sound working knowledge of Fostering Regulations and Special Guardianship Orders
- Experienced in supporting and assessing connected carers
