Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Barking and Dagenham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this Social Worker job is £39,884 - £45,869 per annum and is on a permanent basis.
Duties:
- Providing social work services to children and their families, with the purpose of safeguarding and promoting their welfare
- To discharge the Authorities responsibilities under the Children's Act 1989 & 2004 and other relevant legislation
- To ensure that services are efficiently and effectively provided, liaising as necessary with other Council Divisions
- Working within the London Child Protection Procedures to undertake key work responsibilities for children looked after by the Local Authority who are deemed to be at risk
- To promote timely permanency planning for children in care
- To use ICT and ICS as required to maintain accurate case records, and to be able to report on key performance management data
- To comply with the Service case recording guidance
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- DBS check
