Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Barking and Dagenham, with a focus on fostering. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £28.00 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 4-month contract.
Duties:
- To act as a member of a social work team providing social work services to children and their families, with the purpose of safeguarding and promoting their welfare
- To undertake high quality, analytical single assessments within statutory timescales
- To undertake practice which is analytical and reflective and in which the child's voice is consistently heard and recorded
- To ensure that services are efficiently and effectively provided, liaising as necessary with other Council Divisions
- Working with Care Planning regulations 2010
- To promote timely permanency planning for children in care
- To use ICT and ICS as required to maintain accurate case records, and to be able to report on key performance management data
- To ensure that your Line Manager is kept fully appraised of any concerns arising from caseload and seek advice as and when necessary
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
