Sanctuary Personnel, a leading and award-winning recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Children’s Services Improvement Specialist to work full-time based in Croydon.

The pay rate for this locum Children’s Services Improvement Specialist job is £550 per day and is an initial 12-month contract.

Duties:

  • Lead and oversee the cycle of data collection, reporting and analysis across early help & children's social care and education, including Quality Assurance of statutory returns
  • Ensure accurate monitoring & reporting of performance and service intelligence for: Children's Services Senior Management Teams, Children, Schools & Families Senior, Departmental Leadership Team, Elected members' committees including overview and Scrutiny Committee, Corporate Parenting Board, Continuous Improvement Board 
  • Lead on performance requirements for OFSTED activity across children's services including preparation for inspection and regulatory visits
  • Apply a forensic approach to targeted data cleansing operation on children's social care management information systems
  • Provide high support/high challenge to all levels of management and front line staff through scrutiny and insight to identify emerging risks and inform actions to mitigate
  • Scrutinise and analyse comparative performance information to inform and drive continuous improvement and spend reduction across children's services
  • Contribute to the review and scrutiny of current business processes - especially for placements, financial recording, health reviews and referrals to commissioned services
  • Work as part of the corporate performance team to align performance reporting requirements of the Croydon Renewal improvement Plan to departmental arrangements, developing these as necessary to provide accurate, reliable and efficient reporting for a range of audiences
  • Line manage a small team of analysts with specialisms across children's social care and education in accordance with the Council's policies and procedures
