Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Child Protection Chair/Safeguarding Manager to work full-time within a Children's and Family Community Service based in Guernsey. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Child Protection Chair/Safeguarding Manager is £49,338 - £58,806 per annum.
Main Duties:
- Co-ordinate and chair child-protection case conferences and looked after children reviews, and other child focussed meetings that create and review the child's plan for protection and care.
- Provide specialist advice to professional staff, consumers and agencies involved in safeguarding and looking after children, and to provide quality assurance and audit to drive continuous learning across HSC.
- Develop the specialism of the post to provide expertise to the HSC and the States of Guernsey.
- As a member of the Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Unit the post holder will be involved in a variety of quality assurance tasks to include those detailed below.
Requirements of the Child Protection Chair/Safeguarding Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current SWE registration
- 5 years post qualifying experience with relevant management experience in social work
