Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Microbiology Biomedical Scientist to fill a full-time role based in Chilworth, Southampton.
The pay rate for this locum Biomedical Scientist job is £25-£26 per hour (Assignment rate).
Main duties:
- Plan and prioritise own and sectional analytical workload, making adjustments to plans according to unforeseen circumstances or to accommodate planned interruptions to normal workflow patterns.
- Supervise less experienced staff and support staff.
- Maximise productivity by making the best use of available resources.
- Take responsibility for the safe use of analytical systems, organising essential repairs in liaison with senior staff/suppliers in order to maintain the integrity of the service.
- Ensure working practises conform and comply with CPA, ISO15189 standards.
- rite and maintain sectional standard operating procedures according to the quality management system
- Raise/respond to non conformities, quality improvements and incidents according to the quality management system
Requirements of the Biomedical Scientist:
- HCPC registered
- Must have a relevant qualification in biomedical science or alternative qualification
- Recent UK experience working as a registered Biomedical Scientist
