Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to work full-time based in Hounslow in a paediatrics role. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this Speech and Language Therapist job is £28.00 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 4 month contract.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapist
- HCPC registered as a Therapist
- Recent post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
Responsibilities:
- To lead the special school team in clinical and professional matters, co-ordinate changes/improvements to services and work under the guidance of the Children's Therapy Service Manager. You will work closely with the other SLT team leads to support seamless transition between the services.
- To provide highly specialist guidance and clinical supervision for less experienced therapists and others involved with the client, e.g. professionals/ carers
- To provide line management and supervision to therapists and assistants.
- To use specialist knowledge to inform service/policy developments and advise the service manager as appropriate.
- To support Children Therapies Manager in monitoring and reporting on team performance, service development and recruitment (along with other SLT team leads).
- To plan, run and attend regular meetings with the special school team and the wider SLT team. To meet with the other SLT team leads and manager of Children's Therapies on a regular basis.
