Sanctuary Health is currently looking for a Band 7/8a Psychological Therapist to work in Essex.

The salary for this full-time role is £45,753 - £51,668 per annum.

Duties:

  • Provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to service users' formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan

  • Conduct risk assessments

  • Evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account the evidence base, theoretical and therapeutic models and factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group.

  • Use relevant screening and assessment tools

  • Deliver group, family and individualised evidence-based care packages

  • Assist in the continuing development of a high quality service that is underpinned by evidence based practice, care pathways and NICE and DH guidance

  • Provide specialist assessment, and accurate and timely feedback

  • Communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner, complex / sensitive information concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans of service users under their care, monitor and evaluate progress during the course of their care

  • Support the team

  • Contribute directly and indirectly to a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit service users and the team

  • Responsible for recording all patient related activity information onto electronic record

  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and timely documentation / records on all service users in line with professional code and Trust policy

Requirements of the Band 7/8a Psychological Therapist:

  • Valid NMC registration under Mental Health.

  • Experience working within a similar role would be highly desirable.

  • A degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained).

  • Must adhere to the principles of openness, transparency and the statutory duty of candour in your day to day work and conduct and encourage the same behaviours within the wider organisation.

  • must be aware of the responsibilities placed upon them under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) to ensure that the agreed safety procedures are carried out to provide a safe environment for employees and visitors.
