Sanctuary Health has a permanent job vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Band 7/8 Nurse Practitioner to work in Norfolk. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The salary for this permanent Nurse Practitioner role is £31,921.05 to £39,029 per annum.
Summary:
To work as an autonomous practitioner, providing completed episodes of care to individuals. Working within agreed guidelines and protocols where they exist and having autonomous decision making capacity in the absence of guidelines. Prescribe within knowledge and skills and in accordance with National and Local Guidelines Work within scope of practice and drawing on relevant experience to deliver quality patient care.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- To undertake prioritisation of service users according to medical need
- Patient consultations are undertaken using specialist knowledge in relation to minor injuries and health problems. Full assessment, history and differential diagnosis is made in order that a management plan can be agreed with the patient. All assessments are undertaken on an IT system
- Interventions are timely, and include emergency and surgical invasive procedures, administration of emergency therapies and urgent medications
- Supply and administer medications in accordance with legislation and Virgin Care Limited (VCL) policies
Requirements of the Nurse Practitioner:
- Valid NMC registration
- A degree or equivalent within nursing
- A minimum of 4 years post registration experience in community, A & E or minor injury or walk in centre
- Experience of managing within a health care setting
- Evidence of professional development
- Experience with audit
- Experience of staff management
