What you will do:
- Clarify and safely screen written and electronic prescription charts, discharge letters, and other prescribing forms on wards.
- Query inappropriate prescribing, including unlicensed, off-licence, and non-formulary prescriptions.
- Communicate complex medicines information with a range of clinicians across various disciplines.
- Ensure the efficient supply of pharmaceuticals is maintained to the wards.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians as appropriate, supporting their development and ensuring high standards of practice.
- Support the Head Pharmacist in maintaining an efficient and safe operating pharmacy service and drug supply service to the wards.
- Dispense and check prescriptions with competence, including utilisation of the pharmacy computer system.
Candidate must be HCPC-registered and possess a valid driver’s licence to facilitate mobility across multiple healthcare sites if required.
