Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Occupational Therapist to work in Sheffield on a full-time basis in a Community chronic fatigue syndrome and myalgic encephalomyelitis service. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £29.00 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 5 -month contract.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
  • Must be a car driver

Responsibilities:

  • Provision of a high standard of Occupational Therapy interventions to service users who may have acute, complex and / or severely affected presentations.
  • Responsibility for a defined caseload, working autonomously with access to supervision
  • Supporting the operational management of the CFS/ME adult team on a day to day basis
  • Providing leadership for junior staff and students through supervision and appraisal.
  • Participating in the planning, development and evaluation of OT interventions within the CFS/ME service, holding responsibility for defined projects.
  • Participating in the delivery of training and consultancy for other therapists and practitioners working with CFS/ME across the region
