Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Occupational Therapist to work in Watford and St albans on a full-time basis in an acute role. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £28-£30 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an ongoing contract.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
Responsibilities
- To take a lead role in the advanced assessment and treatment of Acute patients who may have diverse, chronic presentation and highly complex physical and psychological conditions. To determine clinical diagnosis and treatment indicated and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner and ensure others do the same.
- To plan, coordinate and evaluate the Occupational Therapy Service provided on a day-to-day basis.
- To undertake a significant clinical caseload to a high professional standard, using specialist knowledge and skills from theoretical and practical experience.
- To be responsible for supervision, education and assessment of Band 6 Occupational Therapists and to oversee the supervision and education of other more junior, support staff and student Occupational Therapists
