Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a
locum role for a Band 7 Acute Speech & Language Therapist to work either full/part-time based in Norwich.

The pay rate for this locum Speech & Language Therapist job is £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.

Main duties:

  • Input to patients with a diagnosis of LD who are consistently identified as having aspiration pneumonia
  • Responsible for monitoring PAS alerts and same day review of nutritional needs
  • Provide rapid access to instrumental assessment such as FEES to quickly determine risk of aspiration with oral intake
  • Provide dysphagia awareness training to specific cohort wards such as AMU/A&E/OPED/AOS to improve clerking and handover surrounding patients eating and drinking recommendations

Requirements of the Speech & Language Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registered as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Recent post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
