Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Band 6 Substance Misuse Nurses to fill a full-time role in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of substance misuse nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this locum Substance Misuse Nurse role is to be confirmed and is an initial 6-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Completing nurse alcohol assessments
- Dual role of DALT at local general hospital
- Support opiate detoxification
Requirements of the Substance Misuse Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in mental health nursing
- Current NMC registration (RGN/RMN)
- Significant experience as a substance misuse nurse
- Extensive knowledge and experience of substance misuse
- Experience of drug/alcohol detox, ideally within an inpatient/residential setting
