Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to work full-time in a Schools Pathway based in Lewisham, South London. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Speech and Language Therapist job is £27 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Job Summary:
- The post holder will be based at Kaleidoscope, Lewisham Centre for Children and Young People.
- You will be working Monday-Friday working 37 hours per week working 8:30.
- Working with 2- 11-year age group across a range of clinical settings.
- The post holder will initially work within our school's pathway, providing assessment including EHCP assessment and also some intervention to children on our core pathway as well as supporting work with commissioned through our traded offer to schools.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapist
- HCPC registered as a Therapist
- Recent post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Experience in assessing school age communication difficulties and offering a range of interventions to support these
- Comfortable working within a school environment
- Experience of training of school staff
- Good understanding of the EHCP process and writing reports for EHCPs
- Experience of working with children aged 2 - 11 years and comfortable working in clinics and school setting.
