Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6/7 Pharmacist to work full-time based in Southampton.
The pay rate for this locum Pharmacist job is £24.61 or £28.93 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) dependant on banding and a 1-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Providing professional supervision of the dispensing process. Monitoring prescriptions and referring to the prescriber any unusual doses, potential drug interactions, incompatibilities or other unusual features for confirmation or revision before dispensing. Assisting in the issue of routine stock items to wards and departments.
- Supervising and checking the work of pharmacy technicians and other supporting staff; ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with statutory requirements and the procedures and standards of professional practice of the department.
- Participating in the clinical pharmacy services under the direction of the Head of Clinical Pharmacy.
- Assisting in the training of pharmacy technicians, pre-registration pharmacy technicians, pre-registration trainee pharmacists and other supporting staff.
Requirements of the Pharmacist:
- Must be registered on the GPHC as a pharmacist
- Must have a relevant qualification in pharmacy
