Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 or 7 Occupational Therapist to work full-time in Tower Hamlets. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and is on an ongoing contract.
About the role:
- The majority of the caseload will be patients who have sustained traumatic injuries including head injuries and spinal cord injuries.
- The OT must be able to complete a thorough holistic assessment of patients with Motor, Sensory or Cognitive impairments and devise an appropriate treatment/management plans.
- Lead on multi professional and Family meetings to agree complex discharge plans and manage patient expectations.
- Mental capacity assessments and raising safeguarding alerts.
- Liaison with external agencies and organisations to aid discharge planning.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
- Completion of rotations within trauma and orthopaedics is essential. Neuro experience is highly desirable.
