Sanctuary Health are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6/7 Clinical Mental Health Nurse (CPN) to work full-time within a CAMHS Eating Disorder Team based in Hertfordshire. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Mental Health Nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this locum Community Psychiatric Nurse job is £29.17 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Summary:
- To cover our medical monitoring clinic.
- This will mean checking patients' blood pressures, pulses, blood sugars and weight. They will be required to take action if the results require it i.e. supporting a patient to drink an Ensure supplement drink and sending them to A&E if required.
- They will also be required to update the team doctor, the care co-ordinator and update Paris notes.
- They will also be required to call all patients due to attend the clinic on the day to check they are symptom free of COVID-19 symptoms, if not they are to be asked to remain home and follow self-isolation guidance and report this to the team so they can take further action if needed.
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained)
- NMC registration and a valid live pin
- Recent UK Nursing experience
