Sanctuary Health has a locum job vacancy for a Band 6/7 ADHD Specialist Nurse for Children based in Runcorn, Cheshire in a Community Paediatric Team.
The pay rate for this role is £29.08 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Main Duties:
- To assess behaviour which challenges, identifying key factors and plan strategies to manage this effectively in a range of environments, in conjunction with parents / carers and relevant others
- To provide advice, support and information to the family at the early stages of diagnosis and to act as a key worker when necessary, also signposting to other sources of support
- To support parents/carers to implement individualised programmes of intervention to maximise acquisition of new skills
- To be a prescriber of medications for ADHD having undertaken appropriate training and to work with the Consultant prescriber to an agreed Clinical Management Plan
Requirements:
- You will be a registered nurse and will have a valid NMC pin.
- A genuine commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and expanding your professional development
- UK Nursing experience - Preferably Paediatric or Neonatal experience
- Must have a car
