Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Physiotherapist to work in Bristol on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Physiotherapy and be registered with the HCPC.

The salary for this Physiotherapist job is £30,401 up to £37,297 per annum and is a permanent contract.

Role summary

  • To carry out physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment with patients who have diverse presentations and a range of physical and psychological conditions within a community based , multi-disciplinary team
  • To hold responsibility for own caseload and act as key worker-working with Occupational therapists ,Therapy Assistant Practioner and rehabilitation therapy workers to deliver therapy as part of a team.
  • Involve assessment, rehabilitation, delegation of work, review and comprehensive discharge planning from the service.
  • This will involve care planning to support patients with activities of daily living
  • Provide effective supervision to junior physiotherapists and reablement therapy workers to support team members and to improve service provision.
  • Provide a high standard of evidence based physiotherapy service to patients
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to the team and others. This will include day to day management of the team by acting as team lead and contributing to service improvements and transformation projects

Requirements of the Physiotherapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registered as an physiotherapist
  • Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
  • Previous post qualification experience working in health and care environment as a physiotherapy professional preferably with community experience.
  • Experience and depth of knowledge of physiotherapy management principles / practises
  • Demonstrate experience in people management to include conducting appraisals and general performance management tasks
  • Ability to interpret and effectively communicate a variety of routine and more complex technical information to a wide variety of audiences
  • Evidence of ability to resolve varied problems using sound logic and demonstrate evidence of good decision making
  • Good working knowledge and experience of typical work related systems , procedures , equipment and technology
  • Possession of valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle insured for work purposes
