Sanctuary Health is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Band 6 General Radiographer to work full-time in Southampton. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of radiography and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Radiographer job is £25.30 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 3-month contract.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Undertake general radiography and fluoroscopy of Inpatients (IP), outpatients (OP), General Practitioner referrals (GP) and Emergency Department (ED) referrals, including mobile radiography in the wards, intensive care and theatres.
- To assess own workload and maintain associated records in an unsupervised area of responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with protocols to ensure that high departmental standards are met.
- Ensure safe patient care and welfare by assessment and monitoring, sometimes in the absence of supporting clinical information.
- Carry out front line patient care and radiographic examinations essential to diagnosis and treatment.
- Assess the suitability of patients to undergo general radiographic examinations and specialised procedures and modify technique accordingly.
- Ensure correct justification of radiographic procedures keeping radiation doses as low as reasonably achievable.
Requirements of the Radiographer:
- HCPC registered Radiographer
- Post graduate UK experience as a Radiographer
- Qualification within Radiography
