Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse to work full-time within a Prison based in Nottinghamshire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of prison nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this locum Registered Mental Health Nurse job is £30 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and this role is a 3-month contract.
Requirements of the Prison Registered Mental Health Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in nursing
- Current NMC registration
- Must have prison clearance and experience
- Required to work Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm OR a 12 hr shift (7.30 to 7.30) this would include supporting the primary care team after 4.30 to 7.30pm.
- Experience of completing MH assessments both for primary MH and secondary MH patients.
- Caseload management experience
- Crisis intervention skills and knowledge
- Knowledge of System One (IT System for patient records)
- Desirable experience of working in prison
- Experience/Knowledge of the Mental health Act and Mental capacity Act
- At least 2yr post register experience
- Ability to be flexible and respond to unexpected demands
- Medication administration inc. depot injections
