Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Band 6 Prison Registered General Nurses to work full-time based in Northamptonshire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of prison nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this locum Prison Registered General Nurse job is £26 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and this role is a 3-month contract.
Summary:
- Role involves completing mental health assessments following referral to the mental health team, following up clients on the case load, providing some low key interventions i.e. psych-education/guided self-help, relapse prevention.
- Will need to administer Depot antipsychotic's.
- May be asked to assist with morning administration of medications to those prisoners located in the Care and Separation Unit (CSU) occasionally and the main prison medication round but again this will only be adhoc where primary care team cannot cover.
- To Occasionally assist with CSU GOOD reviews, advising if prisoners have a mental health need.
Requirements of the Prison Registered General Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in nursing
- Current NMC registration
- Must have prison clearance and experience (NOMS Clearance)
