Band 6 Plasma Nurse Role in Birmingham with NHS Blood and Transplant – £25.00 Per Hour Umbrella – 4 to 6 Months Block Booking
Are you an experienced nurse ready to embrace an exciting leadership opportunity within NHS Blood and Transplant in Birmingham? We are on the lookout for a Band 6 Plasma Nurse to join our dynamic team. With this full-time position, you will have a chance to work weekdays for £25.00 per hour and Saturdays for £30 per hour, under an umbrella pay scheme. This role requires you to be available 5 days a week, Monday through Saturday, with the flexibility of shift times varying between 07:30 and 20:30. Join us for a 4 to 6 month period and contribute significantly to the life-saving arena of plasma and blood donation.

What you will do:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the plasma collection team ensuring safe and sufficient supply to meet programme needs.
- Ensure all plasma products comply with Manufacturing Practice standards.
- Provide specialist expertise on donor eligibility and clinical matters, maintaining donor safety.
- Manage and escalate any risks or incidents to continuously improve safety and service quality.
- Serve as a role model to inspire change and advance service and safety through effective leadership.
- Coach your colleagues in new procedures, enhancing team performance and service delivery.
- Embody NHS values promoting a culture of inclusivity, listening, and respect.
- Step into the role of the Plasma Operation Manager when required, and support neighbouring teams.
- Deliver an exceptional donation experience that ensures high donor satisfaction and retention.
