Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work within an Older Adult Rapid Intervention Team in Lancaster on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £25.00 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 4-month contract. 7 day rota up to 37.5 hrs a week between 8am-8pm.
Rresponsibilities:
- To provide an Occupational Therapy Service primarily to in patients with acute and severe and enduring mental illness.
- To provide input as directed to patients in Rehab Service.
- To work with adult patients with severe and enduring mental illness and to identify Occupational therapy goals as part of the overall care plan.
- Implementing, analysing and interpreting specialist Occupational Therapy tools to reduce the consequences of disability and deteriorating conditions. e.g. MOHOST.
- To plan and implement patient centred individual or group interventions, using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals.
- To monitor, evaluate and modify treatment in order to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
- Must be a Car Driver
