Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Mental Health Occupational Therapist to work either full-time or part-time based in Peterborough. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £23.73 - £24.50 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a ongoing contract.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Range of specific clinical and leadership responsibilities: Mainly delivering 4 session extended assessment and completing paperwork associated with this.
- Following completion of 4 session service user may be discharged or allocated a care coordinator to deliver treatment interventions.
- The individual will need to enable service user Protection and Enablement to address health and well-being needs. Provision of care to meet health and well-being needs. Assessment, treatment, intervention, planning, implementation and evaluation. This will include: Communication of information relating to comprehensive assessment and assessment outcomes, to the multidisciplinary team, referring to other disciplines/agencies as necessary. Respecting the individuals' dignity, wishes and beliefs and involving them in the assessment process and decisions on appropriate care and treatment.
- Identifies and communicates risks to the individual where possible, and how they might be managed.
- Facilitation of identified programmes of therapeutic interventions Develops implements and evaluates care plans in accordance with individual needs and wishes.
- Ensure care, treatment and assessment is undertaken in accordance with legislation, policy and procedure, recording any unmet need or resource issues.
- Ensure care, treatment and interventions are evidence based. Provide specialist mental health assessment and treatment.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
- Must be a car driver
