Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work full-time within a Multi-disciplinary Team based in Camden and Islington. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £26 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 3-month contract.

Summary:

  • As post holder of this role you will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team co-ordinate and develop Occupational Therapy input for service users on the acute assessment ward or other designated wards in the Unit according to service needs.
  • You will supervise and support junior staff and contribute to the provision of the Occupational and Arts Therapy Group Programme in conjunction with other members of the team, to meet the needs of the service users.
  • You will provide a variety of group and individual treatments, promoting a recovery approach and social inclusion.
  • You will provide assessments and treatment, on the ward, through the Therapy Group Programme and in community settings as appropriate.
  • You will contribute to clinical evaluation and promote use of evidence-based practice to inform service improvement.
  • You will be managed by the OT Clinical Lead.
  • You will have supervisory responsibility for junior OT staff and student practitioners working in the unit.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapies
  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • 2 years post qualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Ideally Mental Health experience, within working aged adults inpatients
