Sanctuary Health is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Band 6 Neuro Community Speech and Language Therapists to work full-time based in Birmingham. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for these locum Speech and Language Therapist jobs is £24.61 per hour (Assignment rate).
Job Summary:
- To provide a specialist speech and language therapy service to patients recently diagnosed with a neurological condition in a range of community settings using highly developed specialist practice underpinned by theoretical knowledge.
- To be a specialist resource of information for health and social care staff, patients, families, carers and external agencies who may require advice and support and guidance in the management of stroke.
- To transfer individual patients' on-going care to other agencies as appropriate and ensure that the service provided is conducted in a professional, efficient and effective way.
- To meet the service specification objectives and key performance indicators as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing a high-quality service.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapists:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapist
- HCPC registered as a Therapist
- Recent post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
- 2 years' experience
- Must be a car driver
