Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Forensic Social Worker to work full-time in South-West London, within the Hospital Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
South West London and St George's is the main provider of integrated mental health and social care services in South West London.
South West London & St Georges Forensic Service comprises of four in patient units. Two male medium secure units, a female medium secure unit and a male low secure unit. All four wards are based at Springfield Hospital Tooting and are driven by recovery and co-production.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
- Must have the ability to put service users and their carers' and family at the centre of care, whilst maintaining a focus on risk management.
- Excellent communication skills are essential, as is a working knowledge safeguarding.
