Sanctuary Health is currently looking for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse - Promoting & Recovery team to work full-time in Lambeth.

The pay rate for this Locum role is £25.00 - £27.00 per hour. (Ltd company Equivalent)

Summary:

  • To act as a care co-ordinator for a specific number of cases as identified by the team manager and to monitor, evaluate and modify treatment for service users with multiple needs in order to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention.
  • To undertake collaborative risk assessments and risk management and crisis plans as appropriate and to work as an integral part of the MDT.
  • To work with service users to identify recovery goals as part of the overall care plan and to plan and facilitate individual and/or group interventions, in collaboration with the client, to achieve therapeutic goals.
  • To work alongside team members in providing a thoughtful, flexible and responsive service where required. This will involve a duty system.
  • To provide supervised interventions in evidence based practice where required and to implement care that meets the mental, physical, spiritual, psychological and social needs of the service user, and that is sensitive to age, culture, race, gender, ethnicity, social class, sexuality and disability.
  • To demonstrate an understanding of the distress caused by, and social and personal consequences of, mental ill health for service users and their carers.
  • To work within policy, professional and legal frameworks at all times and have a clear understanding of ones Code of Professional Conduct, adult and child protection protocols, Mental Health and Capacity Acts and CPA, and Trust clinical policies

Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:

  • Valid NMC registration under Mental Health.
  • Experience working within a similar role would be highly desirable.
  • A degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained).
