Sanctuary Health is currently looking for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to work full-time within an Older Adult Memory Service in Rotherham. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Mental Health Nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this full-time role is £24.80 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Purpose of the post:
- To provide a high quality, accessible service for patients in the Rotherham area, who are experiencing memory problems.
- To complete initial assessments, cognitive testing and monitoring of the needs of clients experiencing memory problems.
- To deliver diagnosis and provide post diagnosis support
- To provide ongoing education/guidance/support to clients and carers both during and after assessment.
- Responsible for completing specialist initial assessment and interpretation of results to provide a baseline for future treatment/care.
- To deliver diagnosis and offer expert advice regarding the diagnosis and treatment and provide education/support to both clients and carers.
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Valid NMC registration under Mental Health.
- Experience working within a similar role would be highly desirable.
- A degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained).
