Sanctuary Health is currently looking for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to work in Wolverhampton.

The pay rate for this full-time role is £25 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Duties:

  • Act as a Care Co-ordinator for service users engaged within the Early Intervention Team.
  • Work according to the Assertive Outreach model and be willing to adapt new ways of working to meet the needs of clients and families engaged in the Early Intervention Service.
  • Participate and undertake training in assessment interventions, such as the PANSS/CAARMS.
  • Carry out and contribute to multi-disciplinary / agency assessments of individuals suspected of experiencing First Episode psychosis.
  • Undertake training as required for the Early Intervention service delivery i.e. Behavioural Family therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp)
  • Use agreed assessment tools and outcome measures as appropriate for Early Intervention and within the Early Intervention Access and Waiting Standards requirement
  • Ensure that the Care Programme Approach is implemented for all service users

Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:

  • Valid NMC registration under Mental Health.
  • Experience working within a similar role would be highly desirable.
  • A degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained).
