Sanctuary Health is currently looking for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to work within a Recovery Team based in Sutton.
The pay rate for this full-time role is £28.53 - £30.14 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 6-month contract.
Community Psychiatric Nurse Job Summary:
- To Assessment/triage mental health needs for adults across the borough of Merton at, within the Referral Centre of Merton Assessment Team
- To signpost service users to other agencies/services and/or discharge to primary care where necessary
- To manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based/client-centred principles to assess, direct treatment and discharge plans
- The post holder is expected to utilise community resources, working closely with other elements within Merton and Secondary services
- The post holder will ensure user and carer involvement in all aspects of service delivery
- The post holder will be expected to promote, by example and leadership, a high standard of patient care
- The post holder will communicate and collaborate effectively with all agencies and agents involved in supporting adults with mild to severe mental health needs
- To work closely with Police, Third Sector Organisations, Children's Services and other statutory organisations e.g. Housing
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Valid NMC registration under Mental Health.
- Experience working within a similar role would be highly desirable.
- A degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained).
