Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 CAMHS Assessment Nurse to work full-time based in Huntingdon. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Mental Health Nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this locum CAMHS Assessment Nurse job is £24 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 3-month contract.
Summary:
- Comprehensive initial assessments of children, young people and their families or carers within a community CAMHS clinic.
- Liaison and follow up with CYP&F, schools and other agencies post-initial assessment.
- On-call (duty) mental health risk assessments of children and young people at risk of, or having carried out, self harm. Involves travel to the local acute hospital site.
- Duties involve extensive use of Display Screen Equipment.
- Candidates must be able and willing to commute to and from Huntingdon.
Requirements of the CAMHS Assessment Nurse:
- Candidates must be qualified Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker and hold current professional registration with either the NMC or HCPC.
- Candidates must have experience of working in a community (tier 3) CAMHS, or in a role which has equipped them to undertake the work required.
